(October 9, 2008) In the beginning of this year, Pluto made its first entry into Capricorn. This will cause several drastic changes in social struc­tures, real estate, and huge constructions. There will be a period where old structures are torn down and new ones are erected – for fifteen years.
     Pluto causes metamorphosis – drastic and unforeseen changes with a long-lasting effect. In Capricorn, these changes deal with established orders, organization and structure, and on a concrete level buildings of any kind.
     The process is one of destruction of the old, and construction of the new on those ruins. Just like with houses: old ones are torn down to make room for new ones.
     For the past eight years, Pluto passed through Sagittarius, which caused a number of revolutions and revolts against the established powers. The Capricorn phase is one where the novelties caused by these revolts will result in new formations – abstract as well as concrete ones.
     The outcome is constructive, but the way to it is sometimes shockingly destructive.



The horoscope
The horoscope above shows the moment when Pluto entered Capricorn for the first time: January 26, 2008, at 2:50 AM in Greenwich Mean Time. Because of retrograde motion, Pluto backed into Sagittarius on June 14, but re-enters Capricorn on November 27, to stay in this Zodiac sign until March 2023, making its first entry in Aquarius on March 23.
     So we have some fifteen years of Pluto in Capricorn.
     The horoscope above shows more details about the nature of this Pluto passage through Capricorn. It is a world horoscope, based on Greenwich, since that is the basis of our world time. In national horoscopes, Pluto may act slightly differently, but much is the same for all the world, especially in the international perspective.

Economy
Pluto is in the second House, which rules economy and finance, so that is where its dynamics will show the most. The present credit crisis is a clear example of this. The international banking system threatens to collapse, and a new order for it is crucial.
     But both Venus and Jupiter are in the same House, right next to Pluto. They show that the transit to a new financial order will be smooth and very successful. The outcome will be one of vastly increased riches and resources. It will turn positive quite quickly, too. Already early next year, neat solutions to the biggest problems will start to work and change things for the better.
     By February 2012, there will be a major burst of the world economy, expanding and enriching it tremendously. But already before that, the financial world will be increasingly blooming. This is related to some serious and firm reform of government and leadership, which is a process initiated by the economical crisis we have right now.
     The crisis is closely linked to real estate, which is also a trait of Capricorn. Although presently any investment in real estate seems out of the question, soon it will be the other way around: The fall of house values will lead to even higher values on houses and other even bigger constructions. Investments and projecting of big new buildings are sure to pay off, faster than we may today believe possible.
     The ones who dare rebuild what has been torn down will be the most successful, whether they are nations or businesses. The bigger the better.
