The Moon
The Moon in Your Horoscope
The Soul's Longings
The inner longing of the soul,
responsible for cravings hard to satisfy,
apart from aspirations of the conscious.

The MoonThe Moon is almost as important in the horoscope as the sun is. It governs your emotions and mood. They change a lot, of course. And the moon is the fastest of the heavenly bodies in the horoscope, moving around the whole Zodiac in about a month. So, it travels through a sign in two days and a few hours.
To know the correct position of the moon in your horoscope, you need to have it calculated properly - and you need to know the time of day of your birth.

Keywords
Here are the twelve Zodiac signs, and keywords for the character they give to the moon, i.e. your emotions:
    Aries   impulsive
    Taurus   patient
    Gemini   joyful
    Cancer   caring
    Leo   proud
    Virgo   doubtful
    Libra   disciplined
    Scorpio   passionate
    Sagittarius   impatient
    Capricorn   dominant
    Aquarius   complicated
    Pisces   yielding

Mother
The moon is also said to show your relation to your mother. Pay attention to any aspects of the moon, and the House it occupies, to study the astrological image of how you and your mother relate to one another. Basically, much is said by what Zodiac sign the moon is in.
Here are the twelve Zodiac signs, and keywords for the character they give to your relation with you mother, when the moon is in that sign:
    Aries   challenging
    Taurus   stubborn
    Gemini   superficial
    Cancer   bonding
    Leo   respectful
    Virgo   critical
    Libra   polite
    Scorpio   vibrant
    Sagittarius   independent
    Capricorn   demanding
    Aquarius   profound
    Pisces   confused

Planet age
Each of the heavenly bodies represents a period in your life of about seven years. In the case of the moon it is early infancy, from birth to about seven years of age. The position of the moon in your horoscope reveals what that period of your life is like, generally speaking. So, this period of your life is of vast importance in forming your emotional character, and the feelings that move inside of you.

Horoscoper.NET
Welcome to the world of astrology and horoscopes! Here you find an introduction to the basics of astrology, in-depth presentations of the Zodiac and your sun sign, astrological predictions based on the outer planets, famous horoscopes and elaborate forecasts.

Mundane Astrology
Here are also several examples of mundane astrology - astrological principles applied to institutions, countries and the whole world. This way of using astrology was in the past much more common than personal horoscopes.

Astrology Basics
The astrology basics present the astrological components and their significance in the personal horoscope. They are the twelve Zodiac signs, the twelve planets, the twelve Houses, and the five aspects.

Tetrabiblos, by Ptolemy.

There are astrologers who use additional celestial bodies, as well as additional aspects. I stick to the horoscope fundamentals specified by Ptolemy, the Greek mathematician of the 2nd century CE, in his classic on astrology: Tetrabiblos. It's the primary source to western astrology.
